By following the advice below, you can prolong the life of your washing machine, improve the results of your wash.

Before washing bras check for damaged and worn edges.
The under-wires ( Picture right ) can become separated from bras and can push through the holes in the inner drum and become entangled in the space between the inner and outer drum. They can cause a lot of damage to your washing machine; also they can break up into smaller pieces and block the pump.
Consider using a Mesh lingerie bag (or a pillowcase) This will protect your bras from being stretched out and if your bras are under-wired, it protects the under-wires from being twisted and puncturing the garments material.

If your washing machine is not pumping out the water at the end of the wash, or the drum is making a scraping noise, and you suspect that a loose Bra wire may be causing the problem?
