Washing bath rug sets!

By following the advice below, you can prolong the life of your washing machine, improve the results of your wash.

back to home

Bath rug setWe've seen many washing machines that have been completely wrecked by washing bath rugs!

Washing bath rugs sets can cause major damage to your washing machine by putting excessive strain on your washing machine and the possibility of causing a unbalanced load.

Apart from damaging the inner drum and drum bearings, they can also short circuit the motor. "Good advice is never wash bath mats in your washing machine"  Although the wash label on the bath rugs will often say you can, we would advice you to always wash rugs by hand in the sink or in bowl and hang then on a washing line to drip dry.

Better still take them to your local public laundrette and machine wash them there.

Rubber backing!

The rubber backing on some of the cheaper bath rugs will often break down and separate, and totally clog the wash system hoses, pumps and filters.

The Program will sometimes abort the machine, and stop.

Washing machines nowadays electronically monitor the motor during the slow tumbling section that leads up to the final spin. If the load is out of balance the motor will not be allowed to spin, the electrons will abort the program and turn off the machine.

Is your machine not spinning, very noisy or not emptying?

If your washing machine is not spinning or pumping out the water at the end of the wash, and you suspect washing a bath rug set may have caused the problem?
