If you don't carry out regular cleaning

Blockages in the detergent drawer will cause leakage.

Overflow

The powder to overflow into other compartments causing poor rinsing or wash results.

Maintenance washes and regular cleaning

Odores

If you always select cool 30°C - 40°C quick wash programs this will cause a build up of a greasy deposit and unpleasant odours can form in the washing machine.

Two to three times a year, (about every 4 months) simply run your Washing machine on the hottest (90°C -  95°C) wash, with the correct amount of detergent for normal soiling.

This " maintenance wash " will keep the machine and the outlet hose clean and free from a build-up of dirt and grease.

Clean compartments

Regularly clean all detergent and fabric softener compartments of the drawer.

Drawer housing

Regularly clean the drawer housing.

Softener compartment

Ensure the fabric softener compartment is empty before adding fabric softeners.

Liquid detergents

If using liquid detergents in the detergent drawer, the program must be started immediately.

Alternatively pour the liquid into a little plastic dosing ball, and then put it into washing machine on top of the clothes.

Dosage

Follow the dosage recommendation given in the instruction book and the guide lines on detergent packs.

Clean filter

Regularly clean the pump filters.

The good advice, we always tell our customers:

Never completely close the Washing machine door between washers.

When the machine is not in use leaving the door slightly open will enable air to flow around the inner drum and the door seal. This should dry the machine out and help prevent the build up of unpleasant odours in your washing machine.
