Hi, I’m Chris Blackwood an independent Service Engineer trading for over 25 years as Penny Lane

Domestic Appliances; a small friendly and honest Liverpool based business.

I specialise in the repair and sales of Washing machines, providing a professional service with

minimum delay. I charge competitive rates and I make sure you're happy with my repair.

How much do we charge?

Our labour charge for a repair is £59.00, plus the cost of replacement parts. This labour charge remains fixed and is not based on an hourly rate – it is one simple charge which covers your repair whether we complete it on the first call or have to come back another day if parts are required to be ordered. We maintain a No Call-out charge policy, which simply means if we call to your home to carry out repairs to your washing machine; but for one reason or another we’re unable to repair your washing machine – there will be no charge. At a time when manufacturers are offering repairs with labour / call-out charges of £90 - £160 or national companies are offering ' fixed charge repairs ' at inflated prices, we believe we offer a quality repair at a reasonable price.

We’re available:

Monday to Saturday between 9am - 5pm

Whenever possible we'll attend to your request for a repair on the day you called - time permitting. Otherwise the service call would be performed on the next working day.

The areas we cover

We repair and sell washing machines covering the areas of Liverpool including: Huyton, Bootle, Crosby, Maghull, Kirkby, Prescot, Whiston and Widnes. We’re sorry; we don't cross the river Mersey to the Wirral and Runcorn.

We don't enter the City centre

Due to the increasing difficulty in finding the customers address and the extra time involved in finding somewhere to park, along with the cost of parking fines and risk of clamping. Plus the many annoying One-way-systems and Bus lanes, is why we don't enter the City centre.

Replacement parts

We carry a large quantity of replacement parts for all leading makes of washing machine and washer dryers on our van to cover most repairs. For any parts that required to be ordered, we can get the majority the next day or two working days. We aim to complete at least 90% of repairs on the first visit.

Guarantee

All repairs: 12 months. Reconditioned electrical parts supplied and fitted: 12 months. All our repairs come with a 12 months parts and labour guarantee, so if you have the same fault again within 12 months it won't cost you anything to call us back out.

Why do we have help and advice pages? We pride ourselves on being one of the finest washing machine repair businesses in Liverpool. However, we don't want you to pay for repairs if you can avoid it. By following our helpful advice you can prolong the life of your machine, and improve the results of your wash.
